The Timbs have at least seventeen players currently on their roster, the Celtics have eleven. The Seventeen do not include Troy Hudson who was rumored to be angling his way into the TD North Garden. Juwan Howard seems to be a very strange player to have on a rebuilding team littered with the potential that only comes from having so many players ages 21-23.
At thirty-four years old, maybe they will keep him around to tutor Al "The Beastmaster" Jefferson, but isn't that why they pay Kevin Mac? If I remember correctly, he was given a lot of credit for keeping KG motivated and I assume Al would be his next pet project. Juwan Howard always seemed like that guy who couldn't be your frontline guy and doesn't seem that good a deal for a team with an insanely young roster (outside of that giant expiring contract the Cs traded them).
I will always remember Howard as the guy DC decided to build around instead of C-Webb or Ben Wallace. He never was great, but he can be a pretty crafty veteran and we need someone who knows enough to accept his role as a rebounder who can kick it out to the open guy. Howard might be that guy, and I bet we could get him pretty cheap.
