Madden 08

I'm not used to "next gen" games yet. I just played a game with 1 minute quarters against the Colts. A very big improvement over 07 for the ps3, but switching defenders pre-snap was annoying as hell. I could only get it to cycle through in one direction. Play-calling was not fixed, meaning you could only select from a field of one play at a time.
They put almost all of the improvements into creating a franchise mode (a major upgrade) and recording actual NFL voices so you could hear Peyton and Brady call out his audibles.
The PS3 version lacks some very useful features from 07 for the ps2, but is a major upgrade from 07 for the ps3. It has been called the "best football game made for a next gen system," but that's like saying "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze" was Vanilla Ice's best work to date. You knew that he was just scratching the surface and sure enough, "Cool as Ice" came out and made us all forget how excited we were for TMNT 2.

Already waiting for Madden 09.
Word to your mother.
