I try to get out and look actively even if it's just at the career source center. It's fun looking through the jobs and imagining seeing myself doing the job description. Looks like the top four jobs by availability are:
1. RN
2. Some sort of "level two" accountant job, but I don't think I can build the exp.s fast enough to advance to level 2 anytime soon.
3. Entry level job at a sport media firm that is looking to build on "cross-over" appeal.
4. Computer programmer/ IT dept.
The Boston area doesn't seem to need someone like me around. I think Heather would be psyched if I could finish this place and get us out to LA before the LA housing regroups. A little searching for jobs, a little home improvement.
My ankles start to wear out after three hour of carrying loads of books, but the library is 50% relocated to the basement. I have come to realize the I have read 5% of my books twice or more, but I think I own over a hundred books I have never read and probably will never read.
I have copies of Russian novels I have opened and read a page and a half of, decided the book was boring, and a decade later I'm carrying it up a flight of stairs waiting until I "mature" enough as a reader. I have Aristotle and Kant that I abandoned long ago for home repair books, but the books remain in our possession.
I hereby resolve to make the offending books into book art.
