My computer got a crazy error after a marathon session of Civ. It was the logic board. Just random crashes, seeming the death knell for this once noble beast of a computer. Heather brought the computer to our regular gurus, Organize-It in Roxbury, MA. Turns out, Apple shut them down to divert customers to their new "Genius Bar" on Boylston street.
The "Genius" Heather got an appointment with mocked the state of my laptop and charged us $200 to replace my hard drive. Problem not fixed! The Computer was returned, but still broken. The weeks creep on without my computer. I think I might actually have shed a tear.
The only solution is to find a new guru for free. Who could we possibly get? The awesome people over at The Genius Bar in Burlington. The new guru had a sense of humor too. He fixed everything for free and replaced the missing feet, tightened the screen, The Genius of Boylston street had wanted to charge an additional $80 for the screen fix. All of this for a grand total of zero dollars. He installed the latest operating system as well.
I even visited the store to check on The Beast while she was laid up. I made two laps of the store, scrutinizing every product, and did not receive any sort of sales pitch from the dozen staff members on hand to help, just in case I had a question. Altogether, it was great experience. If I am half way across the world and something goes wrong with my computer, I'm shipping it express to The Genius Bar in the Burlington Mall.
